Sara Seay

IIH / MHSB Program Coordinator – BS

Sara is the Program Coordinator for community based programs in the all regions of Virginia. A problem solver, she provides administrative oversight of the programs to ensure the highest quality services to children and families in the community.

Sara completed her bachelor’s degree in Social Science with a minor in Communication at University of Maryland (University College). Sara served as the chair for the Tidewater Coalition for Foster Care in 2010. She was also the Vice President of VALCPA (Virginia Association of Licensed Child Placing Agencies) for 2014-2015 and currently serves as the VALCPA President.


Susan McAllister Johnson

 Quality Assurance Specialist – MA

Susan grew up on the Eastern Shore of Virginia. After obtaining her Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services from Old Dominion University in 2002, she obtained her Masters of Arts in Human Services from Liberty University. She spent the first three years of her career as a Foster Care Social Worker.

She pursued other roles in the Human Services sector to include Probation Officer with Court Community Corrections while providing counseling/ direct service delivery to high- risk youth and their families. Susan joined the TI team in June 2010 as Quality Assurance Specialist where she has since been responsible for ensuring company compliance with regulatory/licensing entities while facilitating and managing performance improvement initiatives. In her role as Quality Assurance Specialist Susan had the opportunity to be part of the leadership team helping TI achieve a three-year CARF accreditation. One of her most meaningful roles while at TI has been the opportunity to provide pro bono services to children on Tangier Island. An avid traveler and food/wine enthusiast, Susan resides with the love of her life, her husband Mike, in Tucson, Arizona.


Tamika Colona

 Administrative Supervisor – BA

Tamika is a native of the Eastern Shore of Virginia. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education at Belmont Abbey College, which is located in Charlotte, North Carolina. After Graduating from college in 2000, Tamika returned home to care for her mother and to work for a Head Start program.

In 2005, she became employed by the Accomack County Public school system as a Kindergarten teacher. In 2008, Tamika was offered the opportunity to become one of the first 8 to be employed by Therapeutic Interventions Counseling Agency as a High School Day Treatment Counselor. In 2011, Tamika was promoted as one of the Supervisors for the Day Treatment program within the Eastern Shore region.


Chris Stodghill

 Assistant Director of Licensed Programs – BA, QMHP

Chris Stodghill was born in Oklahoma City, OK and has spent time living in San Diego, CA., Kansas City, MO., and Richmond, VA. Chris became interested in Psychology during high school and continued his education at San Diego Mesa Junior College before transferring to Chowan College in North Carolina. Chris obtained his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 2002 and after graduating from college spent a few years playing semi-professional football with the Virginia Ravens in Richmond, VA leading the team to two Mason Dixon Football League Championships in 2004 and 2005 as well as the AFA East Coast National Champions in 2004.

Chris was inducted into the Mason Dixon Football League Semi Pro Hall of Fame in 2015. He began working in the Human Services field as a one-on-one in Richmond City Schools. He has worked in the field for more than 10 years as a mentor, foster care caseworker, community based and day treatment counselor.

Chris has been a resident of the Eastern Shore since 2005 and currently resides in Melfa, Virginia with his wife Maggie and three sons Benjamin, Isaac, and Lucas. Chris enjoys being involved in the community and coaching his three sons in baseball and football. He has dedicated much of his time volunteering and coaching in various Shore athletic and youth organizations.

Chris Stodghill is currently the Assistant Director of Licensed Programs for Therapeutic Interventions. He started working as a Day Treatment Counselor when the company began providing services in 2008. He has also held the positions of Day Treatment and Community Based Supervisor.


Amy Flournoy

 Administrative Supervisor – BS

Amy was born and raised in Richmond, Virginia and moved to the Eastern Shore in 2007 with her husband and daughter. Amy graduated from Bridgewater College in 1999 with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. In 2009, Amy accepted a job with Therapeutic Interventions as a Therapeutic Day Treatment counselor.

Amy worked as a day treatment counselor at Occohannock Elementary School located in Exmore, Virginia for several years. In 2011, Amy was promoted as one of the Day Treatment Administrative Supervisors that oversaw the schools and counselors in Northampton and Accomack counties. Since 2012, Amy has been certified as a First Aid and CPR instructor employed here at Therapeutic Interventions to conduct the in house trainings for new and current employees.


Contina Savage

 Licensed Professional Counselor – MA

Contina Savage is a native of the Eastern Shore of Virginia. Contina Savage is a proud mother of two children; a 20 year old daughter (Shalicia) and a 12 year old son (Ja’Liel). Contina received a Master’s in Mental Health Counseling in 2013 from Regent University; along with a Master’s of Science in Criminal Justice from the University of Phoenix in 2007.

Contina is currently pursuing her license as a Licensed Professional Counselor with Therapeutic Interventions Inc. Her professional interest focus on domestic violence, eating disorders, substance abuse and working directly to empower the youth of her community. Her current projects include having the vision to develop a group (Ties with the Guys) working with the 5th and 6th grade young men in the elementary school and working collaboratively with members in the community to foster the growth of spirituality among the youth.

Contina is viewed by others as very ambitious, bright, assertive, respectful, responsible, well-rounded, friendly, honorable, hard-working and as a team player. Contina demonstrates the ability to perform well under stress, assume responsibility and make good judgment when under pressure. She serves as the Leader of the Youth Ministry at First Baptist Church of Capeville. In addition, she serves as the LMHP with Therapeutic Interventions where she provides direct clinical services to clients, including individual, family and group sessions; as well as addresses issue specific or educational groups (anger management, conflict resolution).


Laurie Laird

 Quality Assurance Specialist/Case Manager – BS

Laurie received a Bachelor of Science in Human Services from Old Dominion University. She began working with foster children and at risk youth in 2006 and has served as a mentor to foster children, a Therapeutic Foster Care Parent Trainer, and Case Manager. Laurie began her career at TI in August 2014 as a Case Manager for the Therapeutic Foster Care Program and Quality Assurance.

She is an active member of her church and serves on the Hospitality Committee and is the Leader of Acolytes. Laurie also serves Northampton and Accomack County Juvenile and Domestic Relations Courts as a Parent Education Provider.

A native of the Eastern Shore, Laurie is happily married with two sons.


Ashley Shrieves

 LMHP-R (Resident in Counseling) – MA

Ashley Shrieves received her Bachelors in Psychology from Salisbury University and then furthered her education at University of Maryland Eastern Shore where she obtained her Masters Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling. Ashley began her career at Therapeutic Interventions in 2012 when she was seeking an internship placement for her Masters Program.

During her time at Therapeutic Interventions Ashley has been promoted to LMHP-R (Resident in Counseling) and is currently the clinical supervisor for Arcadia High School, Arcadia Middle School, Chincoteague Elementary School, Chincoteague Combined School, and several IIH counselors. Ashley is continuing to work towards obtaining her license as a Licensed Professional Counselor.


Cedrick L. Cooper

Financial Manager – MA

Cedrick is the Financial Manager for Therapeutic Interventions, Inc. He has been employed with the company for 2 years. Cedrick received his BS in Accounting from Wilmington University in 2004. He is currently pursuing his Master’s in Accounting also from Wilmington University.

Once he has completed his Master’s degree, Cedrick plans to pursue becoming a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). Cedrick is married and a father of 3. He is also a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.


Rebecca Ellen Creed

Clinical Social Work/Therapist, LCSW Director of Out-Patient & Supervision

Ms. Rebecca Creed, Clinical Director and Director of Outpatient Services, has been a dedicated clinician at TI since 2009, and has proven herself to be a committed, compassionate professional who works diligently for the benefit of her staff and for the clients that they serve. Ms. Creed comes with a wealth of experience, as she has worked in the mental health field for over 30 years in a variety of settings. She has worked with a broad range of clientele with many varied mental health concerns, and she is continually working to develop the most effective services for the benefit of clients and for the benefit of the community. Ms. Creed received her Master’s Degree from Virginia Commonwealth University in 1990, and has an undergraduate degree in Psychology from James Madison University. She has extensive training in play therapy as well as cognitive behavioral therapy, and works with a wide range of clientele to include, children, adolescents and adults.

Ms. Creed relocated to the ESVA in 2005, as she was ready to escape the crowds and traffic of the DC area where she grew up. She fell in love with the Shore, because of the friendly people, the beautiful older homes, and easy access to sandy beaches.


Stephanie Woods

HR & Billing Assistant – BA

Stephanie is a native of Baltimore, Maryland. She earned her Bachelor’s degree with honors from Radford University in 2004. Stephanie moved to the Eastern Shore in the fall of 2011, and started working with Therapeutic Interventions in 2013.

Starting as the Administrative Assistant for the corporate office in Belle Haven, Virginia, she quickly proved to be an asset to the company, and was promoted to HR & Billing Assistant in February 2016. Stephanie is responsible for all claims investigation and assisting in keeping HR files compliant with licensure requirements. Working for Therapeutic Interventions allows her to not only work for a company that takes pride in building better communities but also allows her to grow personally and professionally.


Rudy Zavala

Administrative Supervisor – BS

Rudy Zavala is an Administrative Supervisor with Therapeutic Interventions. In this role, Rudy manages counselors and leads teams providing Therapeutic Day Treatment services. Rudy also collaborates with School Administration working closely with the referral process on getting TDT services to new clients in need of counseling services.

Rudy is a big believer in making a difference in the community, and supports all aspects of the Rehabilitation Services Field. Rudy is a QMHP and holds a Bachelors degree of Science and Rehabilitation Services from The University of Maryland Eastern Shore. Rudy has worked with children with disabilities as well as children and adults with behavioral and mental health issues having spent 3 years as a QMHP with Therapeutic Interventions. Rudy brings a variety of skills to Therapeutic Interventions and only after 9 months he was promoted to Administrative Supervisor. His passion and drive to make a difference in not just the community but in people’s lives is a reason why Rudy has made such an impact in Human Resources field. Rudy is also bilingual and assists with filling in the language barrier for our Spanish Speaking Population here on the Eastern Shore Va. Rudy gives an extreme amount of dedication to the well being of our clients and focuses on their quality of life teaching skills to both counselors and clients on how to continue to overcome life obstacles and being successful in their communities and life. Rudy continues to be a great example of how to fulfill the mission statement of TI, which is to “build better communities and empowering consumers and maximizing their social, emotional and academic potential.”


Bekki Dize

Licensed Clinical Social Worker – LCSW, LMHP-S, MSW

Bekki is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who is a native of the Eastern Shore of Virginia. She graduated from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia in 2011 with a Bachelor of Science. She then attended Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia from 2012-2014 and obtained a Masters in Clinical Social Work (MSW). Bekki possesses a particular interest in working with individuals who struggle managing symptoms of Depression, Reactive Attachment Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Eating Disorders, Autism and Anxiety. She also has experience working with children in the foster care system as well as educating foster parents.

Bekki utilizes Trauma Informed Care as well as cognitive behavioral therapy and strengths-based approaches while creating a warm, safe and supportive environment that promotes healing and encouragement. Bekki is enjoying her role as a Clinical Supervisor for Therapeutic Day Treatment programs at Nandua Middle School, Kegotank Elementary School, Chincoteague Combined School and Chincoteague Elementary School. She also supervises several community based cases. In her free time, Bekki enjoys spending time on the Chesapeake Bay with her family and friends.


Molly Walker

Licensed Clinical Social Worker & Mental Health Professional -LCSW, LMHP

Molly is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Licensed Mental Health Professional (LMHP) with Therapeutic Interventions. She has been employed with Therapeutic Interventions since 2010 beginning as a day treatment counselor prior to pursuing her Master’s Degree. Molly received her Master’s Degree from Salisbury University in 2013 and became licensed in Virginia in 2016.

She is skilled in working with various diagnoses including: attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, conduct disorder, mood and anxiety disorders, as well as personality disorders. Additionally, she has experience in assisting individuals cope with various stressors to include: parenting and anger management as well as postpartum depression. She also facilitates a six week parenting course at Accomack County Department of Social Services.

Molly utilizes various therapeutic modalities when working with adults, adolescents, children, and families to include: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Brief Solution Focused Therapy, and Structural Family Therapy. Molly enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and dog, Lady.


Ashley Marie Thorne Busher

HR & Billing Specialist – MS

Ashley grew up on Tangier Island, Virginia before moving to the Eastern Shore in 2001. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management in 2015 and her Master’s degree in Human Resources Management in 2017. Ashley has worked for TI since the company was founded in 2008. She started off as the Office Manager before being promoted to the HR & Billing Specialist in 2013. In her spare time, Ashley enjoys being out on the boat, fishing, skiing, reading, traveling, and spending time with her friends, family and her many pets.
