It is the mission of Therapeutic Interventions to build better communities by empowering consumers and maximizing their social, emotional and academic potential. We work to improve attendance and to enhance academic performance, problem solving, conflict resolution, and anger management skills. The primary emphasis is collaboration, as a team, with the family, school, and community.

Marion Long

CEO and President

Marion Long , CEO and President of Therapeutic Interventions, Inc., is a strong and charismatic leader. In 2014, he was selected by Hampton Roads Magazine’s “Inside Business” as one of the “Top 40 Under 40”, a recognition that honours successful business people who are also active in their communities.

At the helm of an already successful company, Therapeutic Interventions, Inc., which has been on the Inc 5000 list for two years running, Marion lead the group in founding the second company, TI Home Health, Inc. Based on the Core Principles of delivering service with integrity, ethically and with incremental innovation.

Marion received a Bachelor of Science from Old Dominion University in Criminal Justice / Sociology, with a minor in Communication. He served as Mayor of Belle Haven for eight years and has been involved in numerous community activities in a leadership role, including serving as chairperson for the Harvest Fest Committee for multiple years, serving on the Board for the Randy Custis Foundation and the Board for the Boys and Girls Club.  Marion currently serves on the board of the Southeast Virginia chapter of The Entrepreneur’s Organization.

Deeply committed to the community, Marion is married with three boys, and spends his leisure time in sports activities with his sons.

Sheila Allen Turner

Director of Community-Based Programs

Sheila Allen Turner embodies the company’s vision of building a better community through her personal belief in empowering people to live better lives. As a founding partner, she serves as Director of Community Base Services for Therapeutic Interventions. In her role, Sheila oversees the daily operations for community-based programs and services. She also serves as the in-house resource on regulations and compliance, making sure the company is in compliance and meeting all requirements.

Sheila holds a Master of Science in Public Administration from Wilmington College in Dover, DE and a Bachelors in Sociology from Virginia State University in Petersburg, VA. She has an extensive work history working with youth in therapeutic and counseling roles.

A native of the Eastern Shore and currently living in Onley, she is the mother of an adult daughter who lives in Florida. Active in her church, Sheila also serves on the Board for the Sharone White Bailey Scholarship Fund and she is a member of the Accomack-Northampton Alumni Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc.

Wayne Bell, Jr.

Director of Operations

Wayne Bell is the driving force behind daily operations at the company. A strategic thinker, he plays an active role in the design of company programs and initiatives. He also serves as the Human Resources Director for the company, where recruitment, retention and high-quality performance are key factors in the strategy for the company’s success.

Wayne also contributes to the community, serving as the Chairperson for the United Way Campaign in 2013, as Assistant District Governor for Rotary International, Inc. in 2010, and as President of the Cape Charles Rotary Club in 2008/2009. He is on the Board of Directors for the United Way of the Eastern Shore of Virginia. He is also a member of Kappa Alpha Psi, Fraternity where he has served as Polemarch of the Cape Charles-Accomac Alumni Chapter.

Wayne received a Bachelors in Political Science from Virginia State University and has begun coursework towards a Masters in Public Administration at Old Dominion University.

With two sons, he is active with the youth in the community and coaches several sports programs for boys on the Eastern Shore of Virginia.
